Antibody Generation

ModiQuest Research has been generating monoclonal antibodies as a commercial service since 2004, making us a leader in antibody service provision.  Over this time, we have developed a broad and robust technology platform for antibody generation, cloning and production.  We generate mouse and rat monoclonal antibodies via immunization/hybridoma approach, and recombinant antibodies from human, mouse, rabbit, llama or chicken, via phage display and B-cell selection.

This amount of experience and technology enable us to be highly flexible, so we can pick the best possible route, species, strain and protocols to ensure a successful outcome for our clients.

Mouse Monoclonal Antibodies via Immunization/Hybridoma Generation

We generate high quality mouse monoclonal antibodies for research, diagnostic and preclinical studies for therapeutic applications.  Due to our proprietary highly efficient electrofusion technique and our semi-automatic screening/selection and vaccination protocols, we are fast, efficient and use a very low number of animals for hybridoma generation.

We have a variety of mouse strains at our disposal, so we’re even capable of generating mouse monoclonal antibodies against mouse proteins.  We’ll advise on the strain to use and which antigen regions to pick in order to elicit a good immune response.

We usually screen for IgG format antibodies only, since they have the best specificity and they’re suitable for a wide variety of applications.

The mouse monoclonal antibodies that we generate are suitable for preclinical studies but we can readily reformat antibodies or perform antibody modification services including chimerization and humanization, to make them suitable for clinical studies.

Recombinant Antibody Generation

1. Human Recombinant Antibodies

If you need a human antibody for clinical use, then our recombinant antibody generation service using a human phage display library is a sound choice.  We have a selection of human phage display libraries, from healthy individuals and from immune disorder patients.  Our patient phage display libraries are used for therapeutic antibody projects in rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus and Chagas disease and they offer a higher probability of finding specific antibodies for these therapeutic areas.

2.  Recombinant Antibodies in Non-Human Species

We have extensive experience in generating recombinant antibodies from mouse, chicken, llama and rabbits.  We can use these to generate highly specific antibodies with high affinity, stability and avidity characteristics, and remove undesirable reactivities during the phage display selection process.

Talk to us if you need a monoclonal antibody and we’ll discuss the best way to deliver what you need for now and for the longer term.
